Dabaihui Group Forges Strategic Energy Cooperation with Georgia
TBILISI, Georgia, Sept. 16, 2026 — Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with a delegation from Shenzhen Dabaihui Industrial Group (DBH) on Wednesday, as the Chinese industrial giant deepens its investment footprint in the Caucasus nation.
On the same day, DBH signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Georgia’s Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, outlining a planned investment of US$2 billion over 3 to 5 years in renewable energy development and supporting energy projects.
Under the MoU framework, a joint working group will be established to review and advance DBH’s proposed renewable power plant initiatives. The delegation also held separate talks with Georgia’s Minister of Finance and the Director of GSE National Grid to expand multi-dimensional business alignment.
Founded in 1994, DBH operates 26 subsidiaries spanning tobacco,energy, mining and other sectors. Both sides highlighted Georgia’s strategic Middle Corridor location as a core advantage to deepen investment and drive local economic growth.
