MEETING BETWEEN CHINA DABAIHUI GROUP AND THE GOVERNMENT OF GEORGIA ON THE GEORGIA TOBACCO INDUSTRIAL ZONE PROJECT

Tbilisi, Georgia, April 27, 2026 – Mr. Gu Junkui, Vice President of Dabaihui Group, officially presented the planning and progress of the Georgia Tobacco Industrial Zone project to Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze during a meeting with the Georgian government.
Dabaihui Group is a well-known enterprise based in Guangdong, China, and owns internationally recognized brands such as Wuyeshen and Alishan.
The Group elaborated on the strategy for the proposed industrial zone, stressing that the zone will be far more than a single production facility; it will form a complete modern tobacco industrial ecosystem. The project is set to create jobs for the Georgian people, develop infrastructure, generate revenue, and facilitate knowledge transfer.
Mr. Gu Junkui of Dabaihui Group stated: “This is not merely an investment in an industry; it is an investment in the people and the future of Georgia. We are honored to invest in Georgia and to build a project that reflects the bilateral relations between our two countries.”
During the meeting Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stressed importance of such investments in the country, expressed willingness and readiness to support the project and underlined Georgia's importance as a natural bridge between Europe and Asia.
